- Ok, so my modem stopped working after a lightning storm. (It's a
- V.32FAX). There's no more dialtone, and I hear static noise, too.. so I
- send it in to Supra to fix, and they send it back saying
- it's repaired. Bullshit. I do "atdtxxxxxx" and there's 1) no dialtone
- and 2) Some strange static garbage. So I get a return authorization #
- and send it back to get a new unit. I got it back this morning, and
- tried it out. NOW there is a dialtone, and it dials, but there's still
- this stupid static in the background!!! And because of this static
- noise, it won't connect at all. Now is this my machine or my setup? I
- swear this modem worked fine before. Have any of you experienced this?
- It's really pissing me off, and I'm about to just send it in to get my
- fucking money back. Supra is one of the slowest and most inefficient
- companies I've had to deal with. It can't be any of the settings.. I
- can't imagine any setting that would cause static - especially such
- intense static as this. Well, apparently Supra is braindead.. please
- reply if you have any idea what's going on. Thanks.
