- Just guesswork this, but Commodore seem to have left room for a machine between
- the A1200, and the forthcoming A1500/2000 replacement.
-
- My guess is that at some point, probably next year, a new low cost machine
- (probably called the A1800) will appear at around the 500 - 700 pound price mark.
-
- It will probably have a 68030 processor, as opposed to the 68020 processor in
- the A1200. To justify the price, a hard drive will probably be included, along
- with an HD drive.
-
- It makes sense, as this ground (in Britain anyway) is covered by the Atari Falcon,
- and the A1200 is not up to competing with this machine. A low cost 68030 Amiga
- would.
-
- And such a machine would help against the increasing PC competition (over here
- at least).
-
- By the way, is the story about a `386 emulator for the A600 a wind up?
-
- The story appeared in the latest Amiga Format in Britain. I just can't see how
- it can be done!

- The beef sandwich.
