- Ok, My 4000 has died (again!) this time 2 days after being returned
- from CBM Express.
- First off I want to know how many of you 4000 owners have had flawless
- performace? Does the 4000 suffer from being rushed? or do I just have
- a lemon?
-
- Secondly I was wondering about a few abnormalities that may be symptoms
- of whatever the heck is wrong with my system.
- I noticed that file-requesters were never updated correctly. If I saved
- a file and then went to load another file from the same program and same
- volume the file I had just saved would NOT appear in the requester unless
- I re-entered the volume name and forced it to look up the directory again.
- ?? Has anyone else noticed this?
- Also when I hit CTRL-A-A to reboot the hard drive parks and spins-down
- then back up again. (seems kinda weird)!
-
- Right now my system dies 0-3 minutes after bootup. It still responds to
- CTRL-A-A but within the above time it again dies. (most of the time it
- freezes, somtimes it guru's with Processor Exceptions (8000 000X)
-
- For 3 grand I expect a little better ya know?

- Thanks! PLEASE REPLY if you own a 4000. This is kind-of an informal
- survey.
