- media. I don't have the figures for floptical disks handy, but it is closer
- to hard disk performance than you suggest. If access to ordinary floppies
- and data portability is not a consideration, one of the best options is a
- 128 MB rewritable optical disk drive. The physical format of the disks is
- completely standardised, so with the right software any such disk can be
- used in any computer which has these drives. Syquest is out on a limb by
- comparison. Make sure the SCSI driver handles removable media properly
- (always dismount disks before removing them) or data will get lost whatever
- drive is chosen.
