- Glad you mentioned Brooklyn. When I first arrived here from India - took some
- time before realizing people spoke English in Brooklyn.

- In any case .. someone mentioned the "accent barrier" .. since Brooklynites
- understand each other well.. as do muscovites .. and Indians .. remember that
- this barrier is a two-way one. Americans did not invent English .. many
- places around the world have been English-speaking longer than the US.
