- I would suggest not. In my experience, Vaxes of all shapes and sizes have
- never really kept time very well, especially under VMS (I have no Vax/Ultrix
- experience). If I compare even 2 8650s here, one being synched to a stratum 2
- server and one keeping its own time, I see noticeable drift with the Vax
- running fast.

- I certainly wouldn't suggest that any Vax be used as a stratum 1 server. In
- fact, why should it even be higher than stratum 4?
