- I'm trying out KA9Q (NET.EXE) for connecting a PC to a Sun Sparc1 (SunOS4.1.1)
- over RS-232. I use "telnet" to make the connection. I'm curious what
- I should tell the Sun about my terminal emulation. I was hoping
- that vt100 would be the emulation, but trying to edit a file is
- very difficult because of the mismatch of terminal type. I tried
- setting my term on the Sun to several other common types with no
- luck.
-
- Can anyone help me out here? Is there someway that I can tell KA9Q
- what type of terminal it is? Are there other alternative PC programs
- for running PPP (or SLIP) besides KA9Q?
