- I have a more fundamental question that the previous one about User-data
- encodings.
-
- When issuing a P-CONNECT.REQUEST primitive, one of the parameters the PS-user
- may pass is User-data. In the case of ACSE, this would be an AARQ-apdu. My
- question is this: Should the ACSE encode the AARQ-apdu into the User-data
- parameter, or should this be done by the presentation layer? My impression
- is that since User-data is a parameter of the presentation service, that is
- what the PS-user should pass in; thus, ACSE should encode the AARQ-apdu into
- User-data.
