- I currently run OS/2 on a 1024x768 Tseng system at home. I would like to
- run PM/X here at work. I will be building a new system for this, and would
- like to pick the best display. So, what display card and ethernet card
- is recommended for 1280x1024 X windows across thin or thick ether.
- How about local bus video? Is this available for accelerated cards such
- as the 8514 or XGA?
-
- I am waiting on literature about XGA-2, but am interested in currently
- supported cards. The 1280 resolution is a must, and will be running
- on a 17" monitor (any suggestions for a monitor?). I have seen some
- 1280 Tseng cards, but they all seem to run at very slow interlaced refresh
- rates. Not something I want to stare at all day.
-
- Thanks in advance for any responses.
