- Hi!
-
- I'am using PMNOS on my OS/2 at home to connect to the university via SLIP.
- Most of the features work fine (thanks to those releasing this softare as PD).
- There remain some questions:
-
- 1. The command 'mail' does not work as it is described in the manual (i.e. it
- does not start the mailer). May be this is because the PM version of the
- NOS system. The environment variable is set correctly.
- Can anybody confirm this?
- 2. In telnet sessions I can't get rid of the echo:
- If I don't change the echo parameter (I think this identical to set this
- parameter to 'will echo') every character is echoed locally and by the
- host. Therefore the line messes up completely.
- Setting the echo parameter of NOS to 'refuse' each line is echoed locally
- character by character and as a complete line after pressing carriage
- return.
- I want each character echoed by the host and nothing by the local telnet
- session. Is there anything left to do?
- 3. Has anybody tried to implement an X server on the basis of PMNOS or
- more precisely on the packet driver below NOS (KAQ90).
-
- Thanks in advance
-
- Joachim
