- To provide my own reply--

- Seems there's a driver diskette which I needed to install using the
- Device Driver Install utility. Whoever unboxed and checked out the
- system before it got to me didn't think to pass along some of the
- included diskettes. Once I got the CD drivers from the diskettes
- installed everything started to work as I had expected.
