- Hi.
- I'm new to OS/2 and i want to install the os/2 Pre-Release.
- Before installing, i have a few questions:
-
- a. Do I have to format the hard-disk first?
- I heard that i can just make partitions in the HD instead. Does that
- work also with C and D drivers? I meen- can I install the os/2 system
- on the C drive and skip the formatting of the D drive?
- b. If I have to reformat any of the disks- should i format it to HPFS or
- to FAT? I know that HPFS is better but will it work with DOS
- applications (even languages like BC++)?
- c.Does the install program take care of everything? I meen- do I have to
- install later the WINOS2 3.1 parts (for example) or is it done a
- automatically?
- d. Can OS/2 handle TSR's? I have to have one for the FAX/Voice Mail card
- (Complete Communicator for Windows) but i understand that TSR's work
- only in DOS sessions. Is that right?
- e. Will my Pro Audio Spectrum 16 card work with OS/2, or do I have to get
- an extention or something?
-
- Thanks in advance.
