- I originally installed OS/2 on one machine with 5.25" diskettes.
- Since then, I've learned the error of my ways and everything is
- being done from 3.5" diskettes (switching cables so the drives
- are swapped). Now, I have a problem. When I do a selective
- install, it prompts for disks #'s based on the original
- installation from 5.25" (7-18). But the 3.5" distribution has
- the same files on disks 6-15. Is there a way to tell OS/2 that
- we are now loading from 3.5" disks? The obvious workaround is
- to reload the original OS from 3.5" disks, reload the CSD, and
- then do the selective install. Not an appealing option.
-
- (Why not just switch cables again for the selective install?
- I'm trying to load the new 1024x768 drivers - requires both
- the original distribution and the CSD - don't have 5.25" CSD.)
-
- This might make a good FAQ answer.
