- I started a Win-OS/2 full-screen session by using the object in the
- command prompts folder and installed AmiPro from there. I tweaked the
- setting for the Win-OS/2 full-screen object according to the FAQ and I
- also followed instructions about disabling the Win-OS/2 Print Manager.
- AmiPro works as advertised (beautifully!) when I am in my Win-OS/2
- session. But ...
-
- ... if I start printing and then switch back to the WPS, the Win-OS/2
- session stops sending output to the printer. If I switch back to the
- full-screen Win-OS/2 session, AmiPro resumes where it left off.
-
- The full-screen Win-OS/2 object _is_ set for DOS background operations.
- The session is set to minimize to the Minimized Window View (where,
- indeed, the icon shows up when I have shifted back to the WPS). AmiPro
- is configured to print in the background (and will do so within the
- full-screen Win-OS/2 session).
-
- I don't want or need to run Win-OS/2 seamlessly. I do need to run a
- couple of Windows programs together in the same full-screen session,
- since I use a keyboard layout manager together with AmiPro to provide
- foreign language support. All I'm missing is a way to keep that one
- Win-OS/2 session working once it has been minimzed to the MWV and I'm
- back to looking at the WPS. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
-
- Thanks,
-
