- I am new to the ms-windows programming game and was hoping someone could
- give me some advice on what tools to use. I've worked a lot with UNIX,
- X-windows, and Xview application development. My DOS programming skills
- are a little rusty but I have used both MicroSoft and Borland flavors of
- C and C++. I've seen dev kits available from both MS and Borland but
- until now have been unwilling to shell out money for them. Which is
- better? Are there better or lower cost alternatives I should know about?
- My goal is take some of the X apps I've written and create ms-windows
- equivalent applications. Are there any good books that I should know
- about (something like 'MS-Windows Programming for X-Windows Bigots' would
- be perfect).
-
- Thanks in advance for any help.
