- hello,
- I am using OS/2 and Linux on my hard disk. I use LILO 0.6, installed
- with option -b /dev/hda2 (my Linux partition) The Master Boot Record
- was installed by some NOS (no operating system). I made the linux
- partition active. os/2 support in lilo is supplied by adding the line
- os2=/etc/lilo/chain.b+/dev/hda1$/dev/hda
- when hda1 is the os/2 partition. (Dollar stands for Ascii 0x40, sorry
- I'm on some EBCDIC machine here).
- As long as you always specify the -b option to lilo, you cannot bomb
- any other partition on your hard disk. (Well, almost cannot)
- First I worked with OS/2 Boot Manager (tm), but that thing used
- 1 MB on my hard disk for 14 KB Code, so I sent it to the trashcan.
- For file transfer, I use a FAT partition (extended)
