- Looks as if bash's builtin echo is causing some trouble (relatively atleast).
- I discovered this after upgrading for .97pl5 when, at boot, init would dump
- core in the middle of sourcing the rc file (I had some echo's in for the
- various daemons that were getting started).

- BTW not using the 4.1 jump libs and associated re-released binaries.
- Could this be the problem?
