- No, because there is little difference between single user mode and a "multi
- user mode". The biggest difference is number of processes...me as a single
- user can spawn a lot of processes! :)

- This question arose a while ago...I forget what happened as far as pacifying
- the "no sync" crowd....but look at the success of the Macintosh (tm). They
- do a very similar thing with their filesystem...that's why they have a
- shutdown command.
