  11. I bought a 386-40 motherboard a while ago.  My friend also bought
  12. a complete 386-40 motherboard system just last week.  The salesman
  13. told her that the motherboard will accept a 486 as future upgrade d
  14. directly in the socket.  I noticed that the AMD-40 was mounted
  15. on what looked like to be a small card which then was mounted into the
  16. processor socket.  My motherboard has the same thing.  Does anybody
  17. know if that the AMD-40 plugs into the socket VIA this type of
  18. adapter, it too can be upgraded at any time to a 486??
  19. BTW: what does a 486-33 chip go for nowadays.
