- Greetings. I just started using Linux yesterday and I'm
- very impressed with it. Anyway, one problem I have is when
- I accidentally cat a binary file, the character set changes
- to an all graphic one so I can't tell what I'm typing anymore.
- Sometimes continuing further in the binary file will make the
- character set switch back to normal. I'm looking for information
- on what code is making this switch happen and how can I make
- it happen manually.
