  14. Since I'm thinking to run Linux as the OS for a machine that would run heavy
  15. numerical code (both floating point and integer stuff), i'd like to know
  16. what are the performance that a 486 would have on some benchmarks (e.g.
  17. whetstones, linpacks, and/or SPECmarks). Also I'd like any sugestion peculiar
  18. to Linux to improve such performances.
