- Since I'm thinking to run Linux as the OS for a machine that would run heavy
- numerical code (both floating point and integer stuff), i'd like to know
- what are the performance that a 486 would have on some benchmarks (e.g.
- whetstones, linpacks, and/or SPECmarks). Also I'd like any sugestion peculiar
- to Linux to improve such performances.
