- I have installed (part of) mailpak 1.3, specifically elm, and
- after much hassles, got it working ok (thanks to much help from c.o.l).
- I have not been able to compile any of the other programs - UUCP, SMAIL,
- MAIL, etc.
-
- I have the following question:
- How can I receive mail from my UNIX account on my home machine?
- I know that I can download my mailbox file (usr/spool/mail/ggeorge)
- to my home machine and read my mail from there, but updates
- do not show up on the host machine. Also, how can I compose
- and 'send' mail from my home machine?
-
- I know that I can set-up Slip, or whatever, but is there a 'crude'
- way of doing the above - (similar to the BBS-style mail packets)
- download a file (or group of files), and upload a corresponding set?
-
- What are the other options? Do I need to involve Administration in
- setting up a SLIP connection? What exactly is required?
-
- Should this be (or already is) a FAQ?
