- I am having problems with my compiler. If run as non-root, it
- gives the following error:
- ld: No such file or directory for crt0.o
- but as root, things (small programs) compile ok.
-
- However, I have not been able to compile any of the packages,
- (Mailpak 1.3, Emacs
- as I get various errors, such as:
- (compiling mail from mailpak 1.3)
- gcc: installation problem, cannot exec cc1: No such file or directory
- make: *** [alias.o] Error 1 <-- varies with different programs
-
- or
-
- make: *** No way to make target 'filename'. Stop.
-
- Is there a problem with my gcc compiler? Permissions? or what
- else? I am new to C and so do not know (as yet) what to look
- for.
- Until I get this resolved, I am unable to add anything to my
- system. <grrr>
