  13. Intuitive Edge Announces the NumberedExtensionManager Object

  15. Columbus, OH, November 5, 1992 -- Intuitive Edge today announced the
  16. release of the NumberedExtensionManager (NEM) Object for use with the
  17. NeXTSTEP OS.  NEM will return a unique number for a given directory.
  18. It provides a useful way to generate unique filenames, all you have to
  19. do is include the number anywhere in the filename and it will be
  20. unique.  It uses a cache and a lockfile to insure quick access and
  21. unique numbers for multiple concurrent access on the same directory.

  25. Electronic AppWrapper from Paget.  It is also available directly from
