- Intuitive Edge Announces the NumberedExtensionManager Object
-
- Columbus, OH, November 5, 1992 -- Intuitive Edge today announced the
- release of the NumberedExtensionManager (NEM) Object for use with the
- NeXTSTEP OS. NEM will return a unique number for a given directory.
- It provides a useful way to generate unique filenames, all you have to
- do is include the number anywhere in the filename and it will be
- unique. It uses a cache and a lockfile to insure quick access and
- unique numbers for multiple concurrent access on the same directory.
-
- A brochure including documentation is available by mailing
- "info-NEM@IntuitiveEdge.com". NEM is available on the upcoming
- Electronic AppWrapper from Paget. It is also available directly from
- Intuitive Edge, via email, to non-Ohio residents only. Email
- NEM@IntuitiveEdge.com for information on how to purchase NEM.
