  25. It would appear that your mail is going out with an address 'fairgate!user'
  26. and that your relay is converting this to 'user@fairgate.relay.domain'.

  28. Guessing (from comments in your message) that you have a Sun,
  29. you should try the following:
  30.  
  31.   1:  Use 'sendmail.main.cf'
  32.   2:  Specify 'smartuucp' as your relay mailer.
  33.   3:  Make sure that 'fairgate.com' is your domain.  If you have defined
  34.       a NIS domainname of '.fairgate.com' this should be ok.  If you have
  35.       an unsuitable NIS domainname, try defining '$m' in your 'sendmail.cf'
  36.       with
  37.     Dmfairgate.com
  38.     Cmfairgate.com
  39.  
  40. Note that '$m' is a SunOS addition to sendmail, and may not be supported the
  41. same way in other versions.
