- This isn't email, but you may be able to get a stream of 9600 baud data
- out of your cable TV, containing stock quotes, investment house news
- blurbs, AP & UPI news stories, weather reports, and other junk.
-
- Call Xpress (1-800-7PC-NEWS) and they'll tell you whether your cable system
- carries their service. There is no monthly fee for the first tier. All you
- need to do is buy their box and software.
-
- I have a Unix daemon eating their feed, saving away quotes for stocks that I
- watch and stuffing the news stories into local USENET newsgroups. I love the
- thing; it's great to be able to pop into a newsreader and read "AP Top stories
- as of 9am EDT".
