- I'm interested in knowing how my American BS in Computer
- Science and my American MS in Computer Science would translate
- into the French system. Does anyone know what the French
- equivalents to these degrees are ?
-
- I believe that in France there is a degree called La Maitrise.
- I think this requires about 4 years after high school. Then
- there are the DEA and the DESS which require 1 or two years
- after the Maitrise. Given this, I would think that my Masters
- would correspond to the DEA or DESS. But I don't think it's
- as simple as that.
-
- Is there any organization that has studied equivalencies between
- the US and French higher education systems and that has them
- charted out ?
