- PEP years ago got their money's worth and more. PEP reached 1000 CPS even
- before 2400 bps was commonly available; it still gives top adverse line
- handling. And PEP came with spoofing, which is still useful in high-speed
- applications, even over full duplex links because of the increasingly
- significant effect of latency on throughput at higher speeds.
