  21. On a different note, I am involved in the testing and decision process to
  22. procure approx. 1,000 - 1,200 modems.

  24. The modems must be able to handle v32bis or faster speeds and will be used
  25. in an distributed operations environment across the country.

  27. Besides getting in a selected number of modems to test on the poor rural
  28. phone lines across Canada, would anyone have any data on tests done on
  29. current modems, reliability etc?  Any data of information would be useful,
  30. and appreciated in coming to a conclusion before January for purchase
  31. later in 1993.
