  12. Just wanted to follow up on my findings.

  14. I received the card and I recorded a message exactly 15 seconds long
  15. with constant talking.

  17. Stacker reported   1.2:1 compression ratio

  19. Not to bad.  Luckily my card has a blanking feature where if the
  20. volume from the line falls below a threshold and stays there for
  21. XX seconds (stop talking, pause, etc..) then the voice file comes
  22. out smaller by stopping recording.  It is all done in RAM so I 
  23. should be able to set it to 1 second without problems.

  26. what I got.  Time to buy another harddisk.
