- The Society for the Study of Artificial Intelligence and the Simulation of
- Behaviour will hold its 9th bi-annual conference at the University of
- Birmingham from 29 March to 2 April 1993.

- The theme for invited papers was (submission date has gone) "Prospects for
- AI as the general science of intelligence", and speakers include Prof David
- Hogg (Leeds) on "Prospects for computer vision", Prof Allan Ramsay (Dublin)
- on "Prospects for natural language processing by machine", Prof Glyn
- Humphreys (Birmingham) on "Prospects for connectionism - science and
- engineering" and Prof Ian Somerville (Lancaster) on "Prospects for AI in
- systems design".
