  23. The laws in Denver, Boulder and Aspen will still exist in January.  The big
  24. difference will be that homosexuals, lesbians and bi-sexuals will be
  25. excluded from coverage of these laws because of Ammendment 2.  These laws
  26. prohibit discrimination based on SEXUAL ORIENTATION and don't single out a
  27. particular group. (unlike Ammendment 2)  Hetrosexuals will still be protected
  28. by these laws.  In fact, by passing 2, Boulder, Denver and Aspen will give
  29. hetrosexuals the dreaded "Protected Status" I guess that means hetros must
  30. be lobbying for quotas and minority status.  Maybe I should start a petition.

  32. The antidiscrimination laws in the previously mentioned cities are NOT
  33. gay-rights laws.  They don't give homosexuals protected status
  34. ABOVE hetrosexuals.  These repeated fallacies are (in my opinion) a major
  35. reason many people voted for 2.  I've seen these false and misleading comments
  36. made by some of the folks that obviously opposed 2.  The media (you remember,
  37. the ones that "fought against 2") talked about the gay-rights laws in Boulder,
  38. Aspen and Denver all the time, clouding the truth and feeding exactly the
  39. emotional fear and anger that 2 needed to pass.
