  12. I'm fed up with all the complaints and criticisms, both on and off
  13. the Net, for my chosen religion. Not fundies bashing, but
  14. primarily atheists & related types saying "If you worship Satan,
  15. you must believe in _The Bible_ and all the teachings of Xianity
  16. [when has the teachings of Xianity had anything to do with _The 
  17. Bible_?]. You must acknowledge that God is the greater deity, and
  18. you are going to Hell, and Jesus was part of the Trinity, blah,
  19. blah, blah. Why do you want to give all the glory to God, you're
  20. defeating your own purpose?"

  22. I could use logic to explain my position, but you know athiests, 
  23. they have their faith and "know" what's Right  :)

  25. So instead I want to try something different. I want to be 
  26. something else besides a Satanist. One little problem:  I need a
  27. good symbol. Are there any gods, or other appropriate beings, who
  28. would be good for representing:  
  29.  
  30.      Night
  31.      Death
  32.      The bestial side of humanity
  33.      Worldly power
  34.      Love (for your own side)
  35.      Sex
  36.      Equality
  37.      Knowledge, reason, enlightenment
  38.      Change (e.g. overturning the status quo)
  39.      Dualism
  40.  
  41. That's all I can think of for now. If anyone comes up with a
  42. suitable god, I guess I'll switch over. Otherwise, I'll have to
  43. start practicing Black Masses in order to justify my continued
  44. existence, and I would so hate to go to all the trouble of 
  45. becoming a defrocked priest.
