  13.      From what I have been reading in the news, there seems to be
  14.     a trend ....The trend is this:

  16.             -last week, when Clinton was calling the leaders
  17.             of the world, the King of Saudi Arabia startled
  18.             Clinton during their cordial talk about the rising
  19.             arms buildup in Iran.

  21.             -Iran recently obtains 2 relatively new Soviet
  22.             subs....and are using them in the Persian Gulf...
  23.             especially at the Strait of Hormuz..
  24.  
  25.             -nations in the Gulf area are screaming to buy
  26.             anti-sub equipment and weapons.
  27.  
  28.             -Clinton asks the US Intelligence Community to
  29.             get daily intelligence reports  similar to what
  30.             the President gets every morning...the CIA complies.

  32.             -yesterday (wed 11-18)...Bush and Clinton talk
  33.             at the White House......Bush tells Clinton about
  34.             the potential trouble spots around the world----
  35.             at Clinton's request...Foreign issue is the
  36.             only KEY topic they discuss among formality/transition
  37.             issues.

  39.             -Clinton fights back against Sen. Sam Nunn (demo.-GA)
  40.             statements that the military should not allow
  41.             gays in the military for a while....

  43.             -Last week on David Brinkley (ABC Sunday afternooon)

  46.             -1 week ago today, on PrimeTime Live (ABC) had
  47.             an piece on a lesbian Army Colonel....

  50.             Summary: Clinton's plan or lack of one.and key questions
  51.             he must answer.

  53.             -Finally, LA Times last week, Clinton's Communications
  54.             Staff Person George Stephon(etc...)  tells reporters
  55.             that Clinton has contact important foreign policy
  56.             people to come up with new foreign policy...changes
  57.             and answering of fundamental questions....

  60.             NSA deputy adviser......Theme of F.P. is not
  61.             crisis management, but  crisis DEFERMENT.......'

  68.             on domestic issues is going to realize that
  69.             being President is much more than (his dream title of)
