  12. I agree that we need to immerse ourselves in recovery for the first year
  13. or two. As long as we dilligently work steps and get into service. Then
  14. we need to move out into the real world, dump the us and them mentality,
  15. learn empowerment over powelessness, and find Stage II recovery. We can
  16. do the 'Real' 13th step, and go ahead with our lives, building self esteem
  17. and having the courage to break our reliance on meetings, sponsors and 
  18. all that. Then we can attend meetings for maintanance, social reasons, or
  19. to be of service, instead of out of constant dependency and desparation.
