- What I've tried to do since I came to the 'people love in different ways'
- realization is to bring it up early in a relationship. Often it just comes
- up without any planning. One night we might be having a talk on the nature
- of reality and how differently different people percieve it. This for me,
- leads naturally into the what I mean when I say I love you. I also try to
- keep the person updated when I realize that the meanings changed. Both
- realizing that it's changed, and then communicating the change to somone
- who thinks they have my definition can be really hard. This holds equally
- true for me no matter what direction the change seems to be going. I do
- feel that making the effort is, for me, a key part of having a relationship
- stay alive...
