  12. Perhaps it would be a good idea to keep tabs on anti-pagan groups, their
  13. methods and activities through a cooperative effort of monitoring their
  14. television and radio programming and literature within this group.  I
  15. usually try to keep up with some of the more outrageous of these groups,
  16. but it isn't easy.  While I have never been involved in any sort of
  17. public pagan organization, let alone pagan politicical activism, I can
  18. see that it is a good idea to "know the enemy," especially in light of
  19. the recent (and widespread) trend on these programs to treat of the
  20. subject of spiritual/cultural-warfare.  It's sometimes frightening to
  21. consider the vast establishment of ignorance and bigotry within the
  22. Christian church and the influence and high stature the groups hold
  23. in society, even for a very private pagan person like me.  So.

  25. If you as a group feel so inclined, try to do your part and monitor
  26. local and national anti-pagan, anti-religious-freedom programming,
  27. call their telephone numbers and get on their mailing lists and then
  28. distribute your findings on alt.pagan.  I don't mind collecting 
  29. material and re-distributing it in the form of a periodic posting...
  30. Whatever.  My point is that this should be a cooperative, organized
  31. effort, because it does potentially affect everyone who considers
  32. themselves pagan.  I can't imagine a better use for this forum.
