  13.  They are from  Elisabeth Kubler-Ross's Book _On Death and Dying_ .
  14.  She outlines the "typical" stages people go through when they are
  15.  faced with a termimal illness.  The stages can also be applied to
  16.  any loss such as the end of a relationship, the loss of a job etc.
