  11. actually, I don't object so much to people believing anything
  12. they want, though in fact 'believing' anything is sort of
  13. losing. what I object to is people saying it publicly:

  15. 'oh yes, I myself was ramses III in a previous life'
  16.  
  17. 'oh really? I was eleanor of aquitaine'
  18.  
  19. 'oh wow, I was sir silliness of londinium, I just remembered'
  20.  
  21. whether these things are true or not, they are unproveable,
  22. and thus on a par with claims of nonordinary abilities
  23. (clairvoyance, psychokinesis, etc).

  25. believe what you want; publicly announce things like this
  26. where I can hear or read them and you will be asked to 
  27. provide some evidence.
