  28.      So?  Critical thought is not an end unto itself -- it is a 
  29. tool, and appropriate to only a catagory of applications.  What 
  30. Angela has done is define a boundry of that catagory, saying that 
  31. there are some cases where critical thought is inappropriate.  Of 
  32. course, the argument is not necessarily valid outside the bounds 
  33. of this case..

  35.      Another way of putting the argument:  If the memories are of 
  36. a bona fide past life, great!  But criticism would serve to 
  37. invalidate your resolve..  On the other hand, if the memories 
  38. AREN'T of a past life, then they were generated by your own mind 
  39. in response to some need.  Criticizing the experience, deciding 
  40. that the memories aren't "for real", and then using that 
  41. conclusion as a basis for dismissing them out of hand (as has been 
  42. Josh's habit for as long as I've read this newsgroup) leaves the 
  43. need which your mind has brought to your attention unaddressed.  
  44. Either way, criticism is counterproductive in this case.

  46.      Your mind does what it does for a reason -- listen to 
  47. yourself and act on what you learn.
