- First off, I'd like to say that this slamming of other people's taste
- in music is making me NAUSEOUS. Banshee... so you don't like "A Passage
- In Time." That's fine. You get your own opinion. But to blatantly slam
- the album (and inadvertantly [sp] the person who mentioned it) is childish. So
- too is Benjamin's "Come back when you have a more complete list to
- contribute to the world." This greater-than-thou bullshit is truly infantile.

- As for gothdom being into satanism... most of the goths I know are
- _not_ into it; in fact if anything I should agree that it is an aesthetic
- perspective. Those people that I know who might be considered under the
- title are more interested in perceptions of reality and enjoyment of being
- that worshiping some recent Christian invention. I myself don't even
- believe in "the devil," but that's a whole other story. Some of the
- people I know practice magic (though not black as far as I know), others
- follow pagan religions (which I suppose must classify them as satanic if
- you're an orthodox christian). I think satanism is a rather shallow
- endeavor at best, but then that's only MHO.

- Peter Murphy: I saw him back in 1990 in Washington DC the day before
- Easter Sunday. I had to work on easter sunday (I work in Georgetown), and
- as I was walking up the street I saw him crossing the street carrying a
- shopping bag. At the time he had blond hair; Peter Murphy isn't someone
- easily missed. So I walked up to him (more like ran, I suppose) and
- talked to him for a bit. We talked about the show, some past stuff (hence
- the lyrical correction)... he was very polite, his eyes are that same blue
- that is on the bauhaus tee-shirt with the face/blue eyes, he moves VERY
- quickly and is pencil thin. I thanked him for coming to DC, and told him
- I hoped he'd return to play again soon. He did. I was happy.
