  29. This is the key, I didn't really start to appreciate Madison's visual
  30. show until I got the video tapes.  After a few dozen times you notice a
  31. lot of subtle effects that you don't catch the first few time.  (We saw
  32. Madison 9 times in 1988 from various vantage points, but still that was
  33. not enough.)

  35. When I watch the other corps repeatedly, there just aren't as many tasy
  36. things happening visually.

  38. I definitely understand why they won, although had BD and SCV had
  39. little stronger shows, maybe things would have been different.
  40. BD was a little flat (IMHO) and SCV had a *horrendous* horn show.
  41. Madison was *electric* that night.

  43. Oh well, disagreeing about show placements is half the fun of drum
  44. corps.
