- I'm a proffessional sleeper, who has a few questions and stories
- about dreams.
- Dreaming and places
- We have a cabin, or lodge in the mountains.Away from city life but
- in an area restricted to cabins, so there are peole around (2 to 30 squ mile)
- Now it seems that I dream 'more', longer and more vivid there than anny
- other place. The colors are brigher and the sounds are clearer. All together
- more like reality or more real than reality. The questions is if the
- precense of other people may affect your dreams in a negative way, and if
- the presence of 'untouched' nature affect your dreams in a positive way?
- But then again, as I have the most realistic, and often most pleasant
- dreams there, I allso have some really horrible dreams at this cabin.
- Theres a pattern in both the really nice and the really horrid dreams.
- The nice dreams are fex. the feeling of meeting some old friends or really
- radiant nice persons.Sometimes the feeling of having sex is close, if the
- one you meet is someone that feel familiar. But then again, the times I've
- had bad dreams up there, the feeling of an evil presence is very close.Like
- it's in the room or very near.Is this in relation with the closeness with
- nature?
- Flying and swimming/drowning and breathing
- I have noticed someone talking about the feeling of swimming and
- the fear of drowning. That have never beed a problem. The first time I
- thought I was going to drown, I had to breathe.Taking in what ought to be
- water, I noticed I actually could breath the water.Later on I've never been
- afraid of drowning in my sleep;I know I'm able to breath the wate.
- When it comes to flying, that happens most of the times I'm aware of me
- being in a dream(Lucid dreams or what ever). It feels like I have a jet
- engine in my (pardon) ass or fixed at my lower back. And I allways have to
- adjust the angle between ground and direction of flight to either gain
- speed or to gain height.Sometimes I have this 'normal' glideflight, but
- still theres a will-power that lifts me, now from all over my body, not a
- fixed point.
- Dreaming, foresight or Deja Vu?
- The feeling of have been a place before, is called deja vu.
- You actually know this place, and the feeling of the famiiarity of the
- place or the moment is immense. The last time I had such a thing was a week
- ago.Then I was talking to a girl-friend(not girlfriend) of mine and
- suddenly I recognized the weather the words and the absolute scenery.
- I suddenly remembered a dream, where the total picture was the same as how
- my eyes were seeing the street and the houses. But then I suddenly
- remembered that in the dream I couldn't recognize this person at my side.
- Like I didn't know her then. But now i got this feeling of 'ah so thats who
- it was'.
- This feeling of remembering a dream, made me think. Do we actually
- dream what is to be at certant time? Or is deja vu a chemical trick from
- the memory cells in the brain, that makes an instant matc in the 'now' and
- the memory? Or is it clearvoyance?
- Does anybody know the answer?
-
- In the end, dreaming is the dayly vacation of the brain. But what controlls
- where the train of thought takes us? Reminds me of 'Runnaway Train'
