- Many people believe that synchronicity is what makes these mantic
- arts work. Synchronicity (meaningful coincidence) is more or less
- when two seemingly unrelated (coincidental) events happen to share a
- common thread. The cards represent, in symbolic form, the many
- processes or experiences inherent in the human psyche, collectively
- speaking. When you pick out a card from the deck, whichever card you
- pick out symbolizes the relevant process. Whatever happens in a
- moment of time shares the qualities of that moment. This is why it
- helps to ritualize the process of giving a reading, it helps connect
- the unconscious to receive information.
