  15. I will have to disagree with your conclusions. I am of East Indian
  16. origin and I can feel the discrimination. A colored minority would
  17. have to be pretty thick-skinned not to notice the discrimination 
  18. around us. I agree partially with the premise that all the problems
  19. of the blacks are not directly related to racism, but the social
  20. climate which breeds losers is a sad reminder of the legacy of
  21. racism. Discrimination exists and is alive and kicking. I have 
  22. been denied apartments a few times in my stay here in the US. 
  23. One more thing which I have noticed is the following (which was
  24. amazing to me when I first arrived in the country): On public
  25. transportation the seat next to me is the last one to be filled.
  26. Anybody notice this phenomenon?
  27. Things have improved, but we have a long way to go.
