  23.       Yes, it was black failures that led to Jim Crow laws, lynchings, slavery,
  24. the glass ceiling, paying taxes and not having good schools (pre-Brown).  the
  25. U.S. Government and its non-colored people never had institutionalized racism,
  26. meaning racism that was codified in law.  No, the past 400 years were all a
  27. dream, a la Dallas.
  28.   there is no question that 100% of the problems of Black America cannot be
  29. placed directly on the government or its people, but to say that Blacks
  30. problems are solely because of our own failures is simply not based in
  31. historical or current facts.  As a somewhat successful Black person, I can
  32. reel off plenty of instances where I have been blatently discriminated against
  33. simply because of my color (let's see some of the white people around here
  34. be pulled over simply because they happen to be driving a nice car in a white
  35. neighborhood, yes this failure was all my fault, I should stay out of white
  36. neighborhoods at noon).

  74.     I will defintely read this book.  It is always good to get into the mind
  75. of the people who are trying to ignore the past, present, (and unless things
  76. drastically change in the next 20 seconds) future.
