- I think maybe the reason we have more violence than sex here is simple:
- The sex won't pass whatever standards committees there are, so they
- throw in violence instead, to attract attention. In Europe, I guess
- they just don't have such a stigma attached to sex (topless beaches,
- etc, anyone?), so they're okay to use it on TV, and therefore have no
- need to use any other cheap marketting ploy (i.e. violence).
