  3. For our TradeRoute subscribers, the READ EDI command is used to read
  4. messages which were posted using the EDI command.
  5.  
  6. It can be combined with other operators to read certain classes of EDI
  7. messages (e.g. UNREAD, SINCE, FROM, etc.).

  9. The other type of messages are known as IPM (inter-personal message).
  10. <R003> If the READ command is executed without the IPM or EDI operator all
  11. messages are read.
