<P>After ArtSKey starting in the right-bottom corner of HPC screen the symbol "En" will appear. It means that program is started and the current keyboard layout is English. </P>
<P>For switching to the alternative keyboard layout, press and release Ctrl and Shift simultaneously, in the right-bottom corner of HPC screen the symbol "Alt" will appear (or your national language symbol). </P>
<A NAME="cpecial_symbols"><B>Entering of special symbols</B></A>
<P>For entering the symbols being absent on the keyboard, press and hold Ctrl + Shift and enter numerals a code of a symbol, then release Ctrl-Shift. </P>
<P><B>For example: To enter the "Copyright" symbol with the code 169:</B> </P>

<LI>type "1"; </LI>
<LI>type "6"; </LI>
<LI>type "9"; </LI>
<LI>release the "Ctrl-Shift". </LI></UL>
<P>Symbol will appear on the screen (you should enter UNICODE of the symbol). </P>
<P>Note that there is no need to enter thereby symbols of your alphabet, necessary keyboard layout easy to define in the artskey.ini file. </P>
