  7. This is BETA software.  We are in the middle of a massiv overhaul of XWord CE,
  8. this is a public beta test for the HPC Pro version.  This is a proof of concept
  9. and a way for people to get into the testing early.

  11. If this blows up and eats your machine, it is not our fault.  Now, we don't think
  12. that could happen, but you have been warned.

  19. This is a rebuild of the current released XWord for HPC.  There are a few minor changes,
  20. but not many.  It is functionally the same as the HPC version.  We are working on a
  21. new interface, and a lot of new features, but this is a test version to verify that
  22. things are working correctly on all HPC Pro machines before we go any further.

  25. There is NO install!!!  You must copy these to your machine manually.  Unzip this file
  26. using WinZIP (tm) or some other unzipper that support directories.  You should copy
  27. the contents of your complete direct (ARM for Jornada) to a directory on your machine.

  29. The XW_xx.DLL files can be located on either your root of a storage card, \Windows, or
  30. the same directory as the application.

  32. Please copy the help file (XWord.htp) to your \Windows directory, otherwise XWord will
  33. not be able to find the help file!

  35. There is one new feature that I do need to tell you about (Not in the online help)...
  36. At the load a puzzle screen there is the normal (0-1) puzzle number, but after that
  37. may appear an X.  That means that you have a saved version of this puzzle.  If you don't
  38. want the saved puzzle, you can delete it from the File menu.  Otherwise opening that
  39. puzzle will tell you have a saved puzzle, and ask if you want to reload it.

  41. Q: Wait, I get an error about unsupported puzzles!

  43. A: Unless you have the registered version (You get a code that is good for all platforms)
  44. you will not be able to use the puzzles in Pak1 or Pak2.  You can use all the puzzles in
  45. Pak0 (XW_0.DLL) so just copy that dll to your system.  You can register through our website,
  46. and get full access to all of the puzzles.  You will get a free update to the final version
  47. when it becomes available.  IF YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED YOU ONLY HAVE 30 DAYS TO USE THIS!!!
  48. You have been warned.  After 30 days it will cease to operate.  Sorry, but we have to make
